Wellness Tip #3

If your bathroom smells of strong chemicals or in other words, if clorox bleach hits you in your face when you walk in, that doesn't make it clean. You can use water and white vinegar with some scrubbing power (or a scrub brush) to clean your tub and tile. You can use this mixture on your sinks and toilets using paper towels or reusable towels. If you're like me and don't like the smell of vinegar, add a few drops of an essential oil. Consider changing how you clean when you have small children in your home.

New soap

I was at the farmer's market the other day and I found a new booth - Kreamy Soaps. I spoke with the rep for a few minutes and decided to purchase two 4-ounce bars of Orange Oatmeal bar soap for $10. The cost was seemingly high compared to the soap you can find in the store. I used to think that a 6-pack of Dove or Oil of Olay for $8 was absurd but now that I'm a more informed consumer, that was ridiculously cheap and not very good for my skin. So, I've been on a mission to replace all my personal care items with quality products.

With Kreamy Soaps there is no "fragrance" and this is a big deal for me. Why? Because the word fragrance can mean over 1,000 different ingredients. It's a catch all term. Many of the ingredients, as I have mentioned in a previous post, are banned in the UK but yet remain "safe" here in the U.S.

I have yet to actually try it on my skin as I'm finishing up another local brand. I'll report my results here in a few weeks. I was just excited to share a new product with you that uses only essential oils and not "fragrance". They are also moving their products away from corn and soy oils.  :)
